Must get ink here when next in Hawaii. Kakau in my hometown! Doing research into Hawaiian kakau and Celtic tattoos. Not sure what I want next. Must design ink for hubby too, need to find my Celtic knotwork book so I can work on a design.

Left side is female, right is male. True Hawai'ian tattoos (called uhi) are done asymmetrically.
Might sign up for the Online Polynesian Tattoo Dictionary for a month to get into the kaona of the Hawaiian tattoo symbols. Hopefully it's worth the $20 for a month access, sheesh.
